1/48th 22 graveyard headstones pack/quarter scale. Engraved with text shown.
 
Flat packed in kit form and ready for construction in colours of your own choosing. I used spray paint for the plain stones and copic markers for the engraved stones. I also added moss to give some ideas for decoration. This is not included in the pack.

Since gravestones and a plot in a cemetery or churchyard cost money, they are also a symbol of wealth or prominence in a community. Some gravestones were even commissioned and erected to their own memory by people who were still living, as a testament to their wealth and status.
In the stone age, when humans were still nomadic in nature, the dead would be buried and a great stone or boulder rolled atop the grave. These stones were called gravestones and their purpose was to prevent the deceased from rising after death, a fear still prevalent in modern society.
